I have posted photos (also photos taken by Kostya) with comments about this perfect spring weekend in April that combined UA borsch and drinks cooking party on Saturday, Bottleon Spanish drinking gathering and dancing at Solidni Nejstota and on Sunday - Japanese posters exhibition and beer garden at Letna. Not to mention that Beata from Warsaw was my first guest visiting via Hospitalityclub.org network.
Something happened yesterday evening, that maid me laugh and smile much. In search for a romance I have created an online profile at http://www.lide.cz/Distant.Honey. Well guess who has requested being accepted as a friend? Kateřina Sokolová, http://www.lide.cz/miss.Sokolova, who has become Miss Czech Republic 2007 this Sunday, April 15th.

Photoes from the Miss Czech Republic 2007 event here.

HELL YEAH!!! ;-)
GO KATERINA!!!
My friend Max has sent me a URL link to the online images of automobiles and motorcycles that you could find insinde the bubble gum TURBO, that was originally maid in Turkey during 1990ies, but were the first wave of something special and spicy from external world outside of Communism with it's ugly unchanged cars. I have been collecting them starting from 1st class of school till 5th. I have got them all from 51 to 120. This was a very memorable collection for me for some I had to budget my last money, for them I have spent my first cash earnings from milk delivery service, for some I have been in my first embarrasing finghts and of course fair trading with friends. I believe I have presented them to my friend as I was transfering to another school. It is hard for me to track the past fate of my collection, but from what I see now online I can recorgnize every line on every image now. HOW can't you believe in miracles after all?

P.S. My favourite were N51 Ferrari (Testarossa), N68 Lamborgini, N74 Rolse Royce, N105 Aston Martin.

Just came back from the concert of my dreams. FAITHLESS.
It was amazingly positive drive there. See some colored emotions in photoes.

Alla an alumni of US exchange FLEX program was visiting me this extended Easter week-end. She is now studying in Vienne. Also her boyfriend Amit came from Vienne to meet with his younger sister, who came to seem him from Israel. Complicated?! Maybe - but it defenetely was fun as you could see from here. She said she enjoyed the trip - I believe she did.

P.S. I have launched a Picasa free online photo gallery from Google. I have switched from Flikr on Yahoo since the later offers only limited free services. Go Google Picasa!!! ;-)

Christmas and New Year stories – was it a good start of 2007?

Congratulations with successful entering year 2007. Hope you have your wish list of dreams for 2007 completed and ready. It is nice to have a plan of actions to get things done as you want. Also not all plans are happen to materialize as you want them or even may have an opposite effect. I have planned 3 events to make a good start of year 2007.
They were:

  1. Christmas charity bazaar participation
  2. Christmas dinner with girl-friend’s parents
  3. New Year in Amsterdam
  • Christmas charity bazaar – French table.
Volunteering and being proactive is key to meeting new interesting people. Thanks to Karin, I was glad to be introduced and help the organizers of the French embassy representation at the Christmas Charity Bazaar. It was a first time I have participated in the Charity event of this sort. Doing various tasks from labeling and carrying the boxes with goods to actual selling various goods off the French table.
    • Was it a good start for year 2007? Yes, it was a good start.
It was also an excellent opportunity to buy special Christmas souvenirs brought from all around the world. I was even introduced to the French ambassador. Nice. So I got valuable experience and understanding of charity events and I believe that I would participate in few more or even organizing similar ones at some point in future.

  • Christmas dinner with girl-friend’s parents.
Last year was a great year. I have met a very special girl. We had amazingly good and quality time during 2006. This is the first time I have ever said to the girl: “I love you”. She invited me for a wonderful Christmas dinner with her parents, a dalmatin dog Agir and a cat Manic.
    • Was it a good start for year 2007? Not really, it was more of a good end.
Not realizing how big of event it is for a girl to introduce a boy to her family, I was stupid enough to accept invitation. I believe my readiness in taking it to the next level has frightened and misbalanced the girl. She seriously started to doubt if “she is ready and if I’m the right person for her”. The dinner with parents never happened for me. After a few drama evenings when I have felt attraction was replaced by fear and doubt of uncertainty we have separated. Unfortunately this makes it even harder for me to imagine and experience same depth of feelings again. I have decided that I would not meet any parents of my future mistress. This was my most memorable Christmas present of year 2006...

  • New Year in Amsterdam.
I was invited by my Dutch friend to spend New Year in Amsterdam with my girl-friend. Instead I had to go there by myself.
    • Was it a good start for year 2007? Yes, it was a great start!
The trip turned out to be a great fun. The most memorable events were visit to the city Hague. It is a home to Dutch Parliament with tiny and calm streets, but also a location of a place called Small Holland, which is a museum of models of the most renown Dutch attractions and locations. The city of Amsterdam is a pure magic during the New Year eve. Millions of fireworks rock the sky at 12.00. The best view you could get is at Museum square and from one of the bridges in downtown. If it is true that the year would have the same spirit as the way you have celebrated the New Year night, then I’m happy to look forward into an amazingly active, fun and positive year.

Either not all events that I have planned o start a new year happened in the way I wanted, it also gave me emotions and ideas to write and present my 1st speech for the Toastmasters public speaking club, which is I’m sure is a very… good… start of year 2007.

Friday, December 15, 2006

Yesterday it was Christmas celebration of the eve with company people at Blues Rock Club at Smichov. Was FUN!!!

Many people, dancing Czech Rock music and then some ealrier 60's and 80's motives.

Experimental photographer Ruda Balada specialzes in takin' photoes, when least expected.

Well I would just go ahead and post it here to be at least 1st to promote it with positive Christmass spirit.

On Saturday, Nov 12, 2006. My rommate Elsa has cooked a delicious French meal. It was a mix of ham slices baked in egg and liquid cheese. Let me tell you that it goes fantastically well with Australlian red wine. And with friend the atmosphere is absolutely the right one. Yammy!!!

The dinner followed with a concert at Palac Akropolis of Algerian singer Souad Massi. It was a great Saturday to remember.

Sunday was more of a busy day with shopping for theSTORM lamp at IKEA, that I was planned to get for a year. Dreams come true!!!
